November 11, 2020 - Sabino Canyon, Tucson

Lynnette and I spent the afternoon hiking in the Sabino Canyon recreation area which is northeast of Tucson in the foothills.

Although these pictures don't really capture it, the trails we hiked were more interesting and scenic than those of Sagauro National Park East and West.

Some classic Sagauros with the Santa Catalina Mountains in the background.

There were ton so Sagauros, much as you want.

This is a dead Sagauro Cactus.  They essentially have a skeleton -- like a tighly packed group of sticks -- underneath the green skin.  The skeleton is very strong;  it has to be to support all those arms.

Now we're walking through a canyon section.
